You might be surprised, the number of people who come in for ink on Thanksgiving.
Or not. I was the first time I worked it.

When we realized that Thanksgiving falls on the next Seven, my cousin Mike and I decided that it might be a nice idea to have a sort of drop-in potluck Thanksgiving at Arches for anyone who wanted to have a holiday without whatever Tampa decides to give us.
So consider this an open invitation. I'll be bringing a two turkeys and a whole mess of baked goods. Bring something to share if you can. If you can't, no sweat. Just join us if you want.

I've now been here for over a year. I think now I can say with some assurance that I love it here. Even with all the madness from Tampa, I love it.

Oh man, Thanksgiving. I cannot wait. I get this whole week off and if I wasn't a total tech junkie I'd give my computer the week off too. But I am, so it'll be a working holiday for the laptop.

She didn't warn him she was coming and she was well aware that meant he might well not be here when she arrived. She knocked on the door all the same, hands in her pockets as she waited.

She'd dropped Teddy off with Eri before making her way to the bar, dressing casually and beelining for Shep when she got there. She'd go from here to Dex's and then back to her sisters but for now she was going to check in on her cousin, see how he was doing.
"Hey." She smiled a bit, taking the seat next to him.

Well, it was inevitable. Time to do my time on the beat, so to speak. With no open cases pending I'm off to do my month on patrol. Don't mind it really - gives me time to rest, relax, and get talking with the other officers. It also means I have more time for the family, so not bad at all, eh?
Thanksgiving off, too. I guess I could almost consider this a vacation. Well, sort of.

Shopping was the best form of entertainment ever. Over the last few weeks, Jamie had been picking himself up and going about business a lot more; there was no need to spend anymore time moping over someone who wasn't worth it, after all. The more time wasted doing that, the less time he had to have fun and, maybe, find that one person who was.
He was, therefore, out looking for some new clothes. What better way to encourage himself to actually use the time he didn't have to do work in something that wasn't...more work than to spend money on clothing to go out in. He didn't like to waste money.
Jamie pulled a shirt out of the rack and held it against him, then looked at the one next to it.
He turned to someone close by. "The blue or the green?"

Eri loved this club. She was pretty sure that, if not Flick, Con for sure would probably kill her for being there, but she really enjoyed a night out. Sometimes, she figured her siblings forgot she wasn't a little girl anymore.
The skirt was short and the top revealing enough without being trashy, Eri had spent some time dancing the night away on one of the platforms the nightclub had for their patrons to have a little fun on. Let it never be said that Eri was shy.
She hopped off when the song ended and made her way to the bar, leaning over and ordering herself a drink before she turned to the person next to her. "Can I get you something as well? They tip really good here," she added, winking teasingly.

For the most part Cameron had still been in his funk, showing no signs of shaking it off yet, when he'd finally caved. He'd been wandering down a quiet street, no-one else around, trying to get his head straight and achieving something a lot more like self-pity when he spotted a top-of-the-line Mercedes barely more than a year old with less security on it than there should have been.
He had gloves in his pockets. He'd taken to carrying his old kit with him lately.
He'd been driving away in it less than three minutes later.
He'd barely gotten four blocks when the guilt had kicked in. Barely five and he'd headed back, parked it up and snuck away. There was little damage, it was possible the owner wouldn't notice.
When he was far enough away he'd picked himself up a six pack and then headed for the beach, sitting alone in the dark on the sand and not getting hammered, slowly working through the first beer and staring out at the water.
He really had to fucking snap out of this.
It was a long while before he heard anyone else - beer two barely opened - and he didn't look to see who it was, pulling a bottle from the pack and holding it out toward them, "Wanna join?"

Tim was practically skipping when he got to Pres's door and rang the bell, shifting the box he had under his arm. It was heavy, but he figured he could hang onto it until Pres answered the door. He hadn't planned on going by, but then there'd been the toy store and Pres's place was right around the corner and he had to show someone.

Katie was pretty much bouncing in place on Jo's doorstep by the time she answered, beaming happily at the world in general and proudly handing her sister two large cartons of Ben and Jerry's before pulling her into a warm hug. "Hello!"
She was about as bright and buzzing as Katie ever got and, having found out Kay wouldn't be dying any time soon, was likely to stay that way for a good while yet.
